The son of a jazz musician, Dalio began investing at age 12 when he bought shares of Northeast Airlines for $300 and tripled his investment.

8. Build a balanced portfolio
In 2011, he self-published a 123-page volume called Principles, which outlined his logic and personal philosophy for investments and corporate management.

9. Sometimes the high points come from the low points
In 2013 Dalio began sharing his “investment secrets” and economic theories on YouTube via a 30-minute animated video which he narrates, called How The Economic Machine Works.

#7 Never punish kids (i.e. employees/subalterns/colleagues) for their mistakes, because they will be tempted to hide things away from you. Instead, ask them what's there to be changed in order to have better results in the future.

#10 Know that you don't know a lot.
"My biggest advantage is not what I know. What I know is a small percentage of what I need to know. My biggest advantage is that I know I don't know a lot, and I'm worried about not knowing, and I know how to speak to people who might know a lot. Therefore I minimise my chances to harm myself."

Michael Bianez says:

How about a video on Seth Klarman?

Know, that you do not know.
